Welcome to CRADESC
We advocate action for social justice in Africa.

Creation context
Extreme poverty - an income of less than two dollars a day - is declining around the world, but it continues to increase in sub-Saharan Africa, where it affects 41.1% of the entire population. In 2015, this region of the continent concentrated more than half of the world's poor with 413.3 million alone out of a total of 736 million poor people in the world.
Access to basic education, health care, shelter and food, ecological disasters leading to forced displacement, economic and ecological migration are the determinants of this vicious circle of poverty.
The exacerbation of the precariousness of poor populations attests to the depth of economic and social inequalities as indicated by the still alarming indicators on the continent. African states are delaying, despite the high impoverishment thresholds of their societies, in making the equitable redistribution of resources a top priority.
In this context, Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ESCR) occupy a secondary position in the human rights implementation agendas, despite their intrinsic links with the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
